Rare Occasion, based in Derbyshire and formed in 2019, are a trio who draw on their wealth of experiences to create exciting and accomplished performances of traditional and original songs and tunes.
For many years Judy Dunlop & Jon Scaife have enjoyed a well-deserved reputation for impressing folk club and festival audiences around the country. Judy’s rich voice and wicked sense of humour, paired with Jon’s mastery of fine arrangements for guitar & cittern, form a duo held in high regard by leading figures in the world of folk music.
Recently joining the mix is Nigel Corbett, a fiddle player with many years experience in orchestral and folk music, whose rich and tasteful playing brings a new and exciting dynamic to the party.
