Experienced in many aspects of Arts Administration, and Technical Work, with a can-do attitude and attention to detail.
From a background in engineering, and making music as a hobby, I then found myself running off to join The Newcranes as a full time musician. After a stint in self-employment as Making Notes in the 1990s, working in music, merchandising and more, I took a job in Derby’s Assembly Rooms. That developed into a number of roles, spanning more than 24 years – front door staff, stage door, porterage, duty management, casual stage technician, assistant technical manager, programme manager and venue manager…
Always willing to take on a challenge (and nothing to do with a mid-life crisis!), I’m back playing in The Newcranes again, and now embarking on a new chapter of self employment… I’d love to see how my knowledge, skills, and practical pragmatic approach to events could be of assistance to your project.
